I have been swimming since I was seven years old. As a young kid, I was highly competitive and swimming was, and still is to this day, very important to me. I have always wanted to swim at the collegiate level and achieve great things for myself and my teammates. Living in Helena Montana, the coaching and pool facility situation has been somewhat unstable. Without a head coach and the loss of our main pool facility just this past year, it has been difficult to keep my mind on swimming and not lose hope of swimming in college. One of my main goals for my Senior year of high school is to find my passion for the sport once again. I am a very self-disciplined swimmer and student. I strive to push not only myself, but others around me to believe and know that it takes hard work to achieve what you want. I make sure to form a good relationship with my teammates in and out of the pool. I have always been able to balance my swimming and academics in a responsible manner, maintaining a high GPA throughout high school. Academics are greatly important, but I am still unsure what career path I'd like to pursue. Some of my goals include finding my competitive drive to perform, working hard in and out of the pool to better my IM strokes and times, along with sprint freestyle, and believing in myself that I'm strong enough to compete at the collegiate level.
