I've been a swimmer since I was in 5th grade but didn't start to swim seriously until I was in 7th grade. At the beginning of my career, my team had a wonderful pool and a well-equipped group of coaches. As of last year we lost both our pool and head coach, leaving the team in a bit of a crisis. I've tried my hardest to overcome these challenges by swimming on my own and getting outside help. I recently made a move to another city where we have an amazing pool and great swim staff. My times have been improving again since I moved and I am very excited for the future at my new team! Swimming is my passion and something that I want to do further into my life. I work hard in both the pool and classroom and I'm looking for a college that can push me as a swimmer and a student. Other swimmers, who have swam in college, have told me about the family closeness of college swim teams and the great experiences they have had there. I am very excited for the possibility of these experiences and look forward to the opportunity for these life experiences.
