Elizabeth Ford '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Elizabeth Ford, and over the course of my life, I have fallen in love with being human. I am a versatile student athlete, and I am very passionate about multiple activities including playing trumpet, scientific illustration, and especially swimming. The countless times I have rushed from a band rehearsal to a successful swim meet has taught me that despite the cliché, if I am willing to put in the work I can accomplish anything I put my mind to. Because of my dedication to the things that I love, I have been able to accomplish a lot of athletic goals, such as breaking a nearly 20 year-old school record in the 50 free,  and along with my awesome teammates, set new school and club records in the 200 free relay and 400 free relays.  My goal throughout high school was to break the school record in the 50 free before I graduated, but I achieved that goal this year as a junior. As I steadily continue to drop time in multiple events in nearly every meet I attend, I am so excited for the coming years of my college swimming career to see just how fast I can go! I have known since I started swimming competitively at the age of 7 that I am willing to dedicate my life to this sport.
