Claire Hegedus '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Claire Hegedus and I am 5’5” breastroker and backstroker from Bridgewater, NJ. I have been swimming competitively for 10 years, short-course and long-course. I am involved with the Streamline Aquatics Club which I have been swimming on for 10 years. I have been on the Bridgewater-Raritan High School Girls Varsity team since my freshman year which has been top 10 in the state of New Jersey for the last 6 years.  I am also involved with a summer swim team for the last 10 years also. 

Out of the pool, I did ballet for 11 years and  jazz dance classes for 10 years and then stopped to focus more on swimming. Along with that I also interned for a ballet class once a week and helped teach the class along with the head teacher. In school I did concert band, orchestra, and choir. I consistently receive grades between A’s and B’s in school.

 I am interested in attending a school where I can continue to focus on my education but also keep swimming competitively.  I would like to still have the perspective of teamwork that is presented in swimming for a competitive team..  I would like to attend a university/college of a medium to large size where I can study Architecture and Interior Design. The environment I want to have on a swim team is one where everyone is welcomed and works hard and has great sportsmanship. I want to  be able to still pursue my swim goals while swimming competitively at the college level.
