Personal Statement

Hello my name is Amanda Scola I attend Mother of Mercy High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. I have been an honors student for three years and have a GPA of 3.9. I have participated on the varsity swim team for the past four years. Along with high school swimming, I also compete for a club swim team called the Cincinnati Marlins. This team is a Gold Metal Club by USA Swimming and is currently ranked 8th in the nation. I have been swimming with the Marlins for the past 9 years. Training at the senior level requires dedication and leadership towards the other swimmers of our team. I plan on taking these qualities with me through high school and into college. I am a hard worker both academically and athletically and I am looking for a college that allows me to continue with my successes in the class room and in the pool.
