I plan to major in Sports Medicine for Pediatrics. Along with this, I hope to minor in either business or sports management.
My grades are not through the roof. I chose to take IB classes offered at my school that are weighted on a 5.0 scale to boost my GPA. I have changed my study habits as well as take school more seriously as well as my workouts.
Right now, my times are not where I want them to be. Everyday is another day to get better and I take full advantage of that. While I had an injury that lasted my entire sophomore year swim season, I still trained and pushed myself through the pain until the coaches would tell me that I needed to stop due to the swelling that became apparent or the tears that came once the pain became to much. I believe that this year, already starting out better than I imagined, I will be dropping time and becoming stronger as a leader and as a swimmer now that there are no roadblocks stopping me. In the weight room, nothing is stopping me, for there is no pain that occurs while lifting. I love racing more than anything. Swimming has been my outlet for anger, depression, and life drama.
My character is interesting because it doesn't connect. I am very shy when I am first introduced to someone, but if there is a new person around that is being shy, I do everything I can to have them open up and then all my shyness disappears. I am very sarcastic, but I understand when it is time to be serious. I am very positive with my progress in school and in the pool. I also am a very good leader.
