Personal Statement

As a collegiate athlete my goal is to better myself in and out of the pool. I have many goals set for myself, those include lowering my times while helping the team succeed at the same time, keeping a high GPA in the classroom, and making college the best experience that I can. As an athlete I am always pushing myself to be better to satisfy myself and my coaches. At the same time I’m also studying and working hard on school work to maintain my 4.0 GPA. I’m now a senior in high school, and I’m determined to make my last high school swim season the best one yet. I may not be the fastest swimmer, but I bring a lot of positivity and energy to the team, and I do whatever it takes to make myself better, and I would do the same as a collegiate athlete. There is always room for improvement.

  • During the high school season my team swims for an hour and a half every morning before school. After school our swim practice is 2 hours with an hour of lifting or dry land to follow. We also practice an hour and a half or two hours on Saturdays if we do not have a meet. During the off season, I train with my club team during the spring, through out the summer, and in the fall up until the season starts. Club training in the summer includes an hour and a half or two hours of swimming in the morning with a second practice in the evening on Mondays and Wednesdays. Also, on my free time I go on long runs.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
