Swimming has been a passion of mine since before I could even walk. My mom has been afraid of water since she was a child, so she decided immediately that I would learn to swim. It started with "Mommy and Me" classes at our local YMCA, and pretty soon by the age of 6, I had joined the team. Swimming had not only become an outlet for me and a way for me to make close bonds and friendships, but also a passion of mine. I strive to do my best in everything I do, in and out of the pool. I do my best in school and challenge myself academically, as well as at practice every day. I give back to my community, and even help teach swim lessons at my grade school, Villa Maria Academy Lower School. I am very dedicated to this sport, as I have remained so even through some tough years of my life. Swimming has helped me get through them, and I would not be the person I am today without it. In college, my goal is to further my swimming career, drastically improve my times, and help my college team to score in meets.
