My name is Mariah R. Clemons. I am a Junior at Saint Benedict At Auburndale High School in Cordova TN where I currently have a 3.1 GPA. I swim both at my high school and with Memphis Tigers Swimming. My club coach is Ben Davis. I am 5'10 and I weigh 135 lbs.
I recently participated in the TISCA TN High School Championship Meet where I placed 7th in the 50 Free SCY with 24.13. I achieved a PBT in the same event at Prelims with a 5th place 23.98. I anchored the 200 Free Relay where my split was a 23.92.
I am currently working on improving all of my times with a specific interest in improving my 50 Free, 100 Free and 100 Fly. I plan to exceed current PBT (s) and make qualifying times for the NCSA Championship meet.
I plan to major in Psychology with an emphasis in Behavioral Analysis. I would ultimately like to serve the United States of America as an FBI or CIA agent.
My motto is "Keep It Moving". Far too often people get "stuck" in life for a variety of reasons. Some people get "stuck" after a success feeling that once a goal is achieved, they can relax. I know that there is always room for improvement and that my best today can be my worst in the future as long as I "keep it moving". Other people get stuck after a perceived failure. I do not believe in failure. I succeed or learn....but never fail. What others may see as a failure, I see as a learning opportunity. As long as I learn from my short comings and "keep it moving" I will remain in a perpetual state of improvement. I apply this motto to all aspects of my life.
