Edith Martinez '22 Recruiting Profile

I have been swimming for 10 years. Throughout those years I have learned that working hard pays off. In Freshmen year I realized that I need to push myself out of my comfort zone to aim to become the best swimmer and student I can be, and reach goals that I couldn't have accomplished without working hard through dedication and discipline. During Sophomore year I got through some obstacles, and I continued to practice in every way I could in and out of the water, and I was able to get a PR by Regionals, even though it wasn't my goal time, I was able to go a faster time than the year before, and I am determined to keep working hard even with obstacles to meet my goals, which is to final at state, and to get in a program that will fit for me athletically, and academically. I am willing to work hard, and help the team out, and I will continue to push myself to become best swimmer I can be, I will never settle, and I am determined to learn more.
