As you might be able to tell my dad is my high school coach, but he is not the reason I began swimming nor why I want to continue swimming in the collegiate level. I have been swimming since I was 4 years old (my dad has documentation of my first meet). I did not start swimming year round until I was 10, when I went to my parents and told them that I know swimming is my sport. I've been swimming ever since. I've had some major set backs, some dislocated shoulders, knee injuries, etc. (due to 9 inch growth in a little more than a year's time), but I kept on swimming. I've learned that with hard work and commitment, that I can reach my goals. I plan to continue to keep on swimming all the way through college and the rest of my life.
