Personal Statement
I played soccer for 9 years. Then, after my freshman year in high school, I decided to get some cross training in by swimming for my neighborhood swim team (very informal). Well, I fell in love with swimming, and have moved from the field to the pool! Last year (2012-2013 10th grade) was my first year to compete for my high school, and at the end of a 2 month season, I placed 1st in Conference, and 2nd in State in the 50 Free.
I now want to continue to train and improve my times and skills for the rest of my junior and senior seasons. My goal is to drop my times enough to be able to be recruited to and then competitive at the D1 level.
For my future education, I am planning on going into the Sports Medicine / Chiropractic care arena with the more specific goal of studying Applied Kineseology.
As you look through my videos and profile info, I hope that you take into account the fact that I have only been swimming for a short time, and am only able to swim a couple days a week. I know that with more practice and more coaching, my times will only continue to drop.
