2015 HighlightsPersonal Statement
As long as I can remember the water has always been there for me to fall back on. Whenever I'm going through something that leaves me feeling particularly stressed and/or hopeless as soon as I dive into the water those negative thoughts disappear. There's comfort in a swimming pool.
I've grown up in the swim community. When I say 'grown up' I don't just mean aging. I've grown as a person also. Being apart of a team has taught me so much about compassion and sportsmanship. I've learned that what defines family isn't necessarily blood. Family can be your teammates who you've bled, sweat, and cried with.
