~~My name is Lauren Bergmann and I have been swimming since I was 5 years old. My parents had me join our local Y swim team because they wanted to increase my self-confidence, little did they realize that simple move would have such a positive impact on the person I would become and my love of this sport.
This sport has and continues to teach me each day about the significance of being the best person I can be, which in turn only increases my own belief of what is possible in the pool. Many people believe sports are only about your physical abilities. From what I’ve been exposed to in the swimming world it is actually the complete opposite. I have learned that no matter the circumstances that compassion, dedication, forgiveness and always focusing on the positive can make all the difference.
My goal is to be able to take my swimming career as far as it can take me. Although, I am currently only a junior and still discovering my future field of study, my focus is to dedicate myself to work as hard as possible to achieve my dreams of swimming in college. As I get closer to my college years, my goal is to find a coach and teammates who have the same work ethic, focus and passion for results in and outside the pool.
