Tennis acts as an important role in my everyday life. Participating in such a wonderful sport from a young age has molded me into the person I am today. Through tennis I have gained confidence, positive self-esteem, and integrity. These values, being a priority not only in tennis, but in life, have helped me overcome an immense amount of obstacles. Playing tennis in college is not only a passion, but an honor. I have dedicated endless hours to practice and improving. My motivation exceeds expectations, for giving 100% effort is not enough. Having played college tennis for a year I learned how important dedication is. From the time practice begins to the time it is every member of the team is fixated on a common goal: winning. Working to improve and succeed creates a competitive atmosphere that challenges each individual to push themselves, and taking everything I gained as a player this past year to another institution would be an honor.
