Growing up playing every sport known to man taught me a lot about being a part of a team and loving what you do. However, it wasn't until I started playing tennis that I understood why loving what you do is so important. When I quit my other sports to focus on tennis, I decided I was going to make it worth it. I started going to my club to practice 6 days a week. In that first year I learned that having goals is important. Giving up time to hang out with friends or staying up a couple hours later to finish homework you could've done during practice time, it all seems pointless unless you have a goal. My goal was to play college tennis.
My goals for the rest of high school are to keep my GPA up and work as hard at school as I do at tennis. I also want to start playing more tournaments and get my ranking up. My goals for college are to be able to handle academics as well as athletics, and find a college that I will truly be happy at. I love playing doubles because I'm very aggressive at the net. I am very coachable because I understand there is ALWAYS room for improvement.
