Personal Statement
I have been playing tennis since the 4th grade. From the moment I stepped on the court, I have been completely in love with the sport. I have dreamed of playing at the collegiate level ever since I was a little girl.
I started varsity as a freshman on my high school team, and will be entering my senior season as a 4-year varsity player. I advanced to the Regional my freshman year playing at the number 1 doubles position. Since then I have played number 2 singles and have received honorable mention in the All PAC Conference Team two years in a row.
My shots are all solid and I am very coachable. I also am a fast learner and pick up new instruction quickly. I have great determination and mental comportment that never counts me out of a match. I always give 110% at practices and matches.
Off the court, I strive to make good grades. Academics are very important to me and I want to go to a school that will push me to be my best academically as well as athletically.
I am active in my church and in clubs at school outside of tennis, some of which include: National Honor Society, Beta Club, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
I am currently aspiring to become a speech-language pathologist, while continuing to nurture a lifelong love of tennis.
