Personal Statement
My extraordinary passion for the game of tennis, leadership qualities, enthusiasm, strong work ethics, and eagerness to succeed on and off the court with a dream and vision to become a student-athlete in America has been part of me for years. I am an approachable, optimistic, and mentally tough athlete who strives to improve and never stop working, to be the best I can be. I have significant long-term goals and want to do everything at my full potential.
My aspirations for life includes maintaining a high GPA as well as to, one day, make tennis my career and leave behind a legacy. My strengths are setting and focusing on goals, pushes self-hard, and admit my faults, and tactfully and positively inspires those around me. I am a good sportswoman in all aspects of my life, on the sports field as well as in the classroom. Through my victories, I like to remain humble yet appreciative of all the support from my coaches, family, and peers. I believe I am a good candidate for your team as I am eager to learn and grow as a person, I will do this by being loyal, respectful, disciplined and by ensuring a healthy relationship with my coach, teammates, and family, bouncing back from failures and motivating myself to be the best I can be.
I have been playing Provincial and National tennis for the past five years as the number one player. KZN Provincial Team won the Championship #1 position in 2018. At the beginning of 2019, I joined Riaan Venters' Tennis Academy in Potchefstroom, South Africa, and doing my online studies through Cambrilearn - Cambridge, which is an Internation course and a private student without a counselor. This year, 2020, I am doing my AS Level subject, IGCSE Biology, and will graduate in June 2021.
