Personal Statement
hello! My name is Blythe Asbell, I am 19 years old, and I graduated in the spring of 2016. I would just like to start off with thanking you for considering me for your team. My goal is to continue to play tennis at another university. Not only do I just want to play, but I also want to succeed in my attitude, effort, and sportsmanship. I would be a great addition to your team, because my main goal my entire high school season was to set an example for my other team members as the captain. No body wants to play somebody who throws their racquet around. throughout 4 years of playing my coach has received numerous compliments on my attitude no matter how I was playing. In my athletic aspect I played four sports throughout high school. I played varsity for at least one year for every single sport. At the end of the seasons I received most improved for 3 sports. This senior year I have been a varsity captain for tennis soccer and basketball. I was my schools 2016 homecoming queen. Tennis I take privates 3x a week and have started working with a personal trainer. I practice everyday for at least 3 hours. Academics is not my gifted area, but that doesn't stop me from going to get extra help and doing the best I possibly can. The difference between me and other recruits is I will continue to work hard in every aspect of tennis, whether it be mentally or physically. You can always improve whether you are number 1 or the last girl.
