Personal Statement
As a little girl I have set many goals to challenge myself including; the sports, the academics, and the school volunteering I am involved in. I've always looked above and beyond on my future and playing college tennis would be a great lifetime opportunity. It's definitely going to be a challenge, but that's a path I want to pursue.
I am a very outgoing, hardworking, coachable, team-player and am determined to face situations with myself and my team. I have been training with my brother since I was about 10 years old. He's taught me the basics of tennis, we have worked on my technique, and as well as, game-like situations. I started playing school tennis my 7th-grade year in Middle School on the C squad team. My 8th and freshmen year of Tennis I was ranked #1 on C squad and also had many opportunities to play some JV matches. As my sophomore year of tennis season started, I was ranked #4 on JV and had worked my way up to be able to play Varsity matches. My junior year, I ranked #5 on the varsity. team. I play #1-#3 doubles with all the top 6 players. My serves are very consistent and the one I depend to help me with my matches, as well as, my forehand and backhand groundstrokes. I enjoying playing aggressively. As I come around to my last year of high school tennis, my ambitions for my tennis career is to make top 10 singles player in State.
My dad always says, "Having discipline is usually the root of success". My family is very supportive in all of my activities I've participated in, as well as my academics. I am a very studious and organized person who maintains an average GPA of 3.7. In 8th grade, I have been a math above my grade level and have finished with Calculus 1. One of my majors I'd like to get into after high school is to attend a Respiratory Therapy Program and take the Pre-Med track and make my way to becoming an ER Physician. As my last semester approaches, I will have and be taking high school classes that will be relating to health, such as health careers. In school, I am signed up for Student Council, to be an Ambassador, and etc.
This statement embodies everything I've been working towards to. Helping my community, donating my time to others by working at the Williston Area Recreation Center (ARC) coaching a tennis camp for kids of all ages, and also giving effort and dedication to tennis. I appreciate the time you have given to read this and understand how contributing to my academics, others, and myself is showing compassion to what I do.
