Lyric Ciarlo 2018...Personal Statement
My name is Lyric Ciarlo and I'm from Las Vegas, Nevada. I've been playing tennis for about five years now. I have to say I've learned a lot in this short time. I find it's important to learn from defeat because you learn more losing than you do from winning.
As captain of my tennis team, I try to create a true team atmosphere. Tennis is largely individual. However, true success lies within the community of the team.
I also did track in my junior year In the events shot put and discus and I've been playing the violin for around twelve years. The true value of hard work is definitely exemplified in the payoff of hitting a new PR in track, perfecting a new skill in tennis, or delivering a near- flawless performance onstage.
