Courtnee Mcclain '16 Recruiting Profile

My whole life I have worked and trained hard to become the athlete I am today. I've always had dreams of going to college to play tennis, and I have spent 10 years trying to become the best player that I know I can be. I am an aggressive and competitive player. I'm the type of player that never lets the ball bounce twice on my side of the court. I have hustle and heart and play with a purpose.

I have just as much determination in school academically as I do on the court. I have a 3.7 GPA and have worked very hard for it. I believe that academics come 1st because it's important to have something to fall back on even after college.

I believe that I would be a great candidate for any team because I am very fun to be around and easy to get along with. But when it's time to be focused, I can be in the zone. I am a very coachable player who is is open and willing to try anything that I am told to try, because I know there is always room for improvement.

Last years high school season, as a sophomore I was a varsity singles player, going undefeated in the fall season. This year as a junior I am the # 1 varsity player on the team.

I also ran track for 8 years, which led to me qualifying for the Jr Olympics 3 years in a row. I believe that this has helped my speed and agility on the court tremendously. I'm quick on my feet and don't let anything get by me.

I believe that my competitiveness, determination, and attitude has led to my success and accomplishments on the court and in the books. I'm excited and look forward to playing at a collegiate level.
