My goals and aspirations for my future are to continue to achieve high grades for the remainder of high school and into college. Following college graduation, I aspire to attend law school and attain a position where I can most help my community.
I would also like to play tennis at the college level. During the 2013 high school year, I played doubles tennis and our team was able to secure 2nd place in the state championship. This year, I was captain of my school tennis team and played the 2nd singles position. Through hard work and strong leadership from my coaches, I was able enter the Utah State Championship as 3rd seed and secure 1st place in the championship by defeating the higher seeded competitors during three 3-set matches in a single day. Together, our team also won the state championship.
My efforts have been rewarded, both academically and athletically. I was awarded the Academic All-State Award, an honor only granted to six tennis athletes within the Utah State 2A region.
I believe my success so far in life has come from the support of my parents and coaches as well as a drive to constantly challenge myself. I do not accept mediocrity, but rather strive to do better, try harder, and achieve more than is expected of me.
