Personal Statement
As an eighth grader watching my friends run at a track meet, I knew that I wanted to compete on the track. I asked the track coach if I could try the hurdles, and I have never looked back. My outgoing personality and all around dedication to track has allowed me to become a successful athlete. In May, I achieved one of my goals by winning the 4A 100H State Gold Medal. My hard work finally paid off! Now, entering my senior year, I am driven to continue to achieve PR times in order to obtain a place on a college track team.
I also work hard in the classroom as my GPA is 3.81. I am dedicated in accomplishing my goals. My goal is to run for a college team.
