I decided to take up cross country in 7th grade. I enjoyed being active but wasn't sure I would like competing to run. I found I loved it and did pretty well at it. Unfortunately my friends did not enjoy it as much, and did not continue with it with me.
I had to quit cross country my freshman year due to achilles and tendonitis injury, so I got involved in marching band and spent that year doing physical therapy.
My sophomore year I got back into cross country and loved it. I made it to state, and am now a junior and know I will run my entire life. I love trying to do my personal best at practices and meets, and also enjoy being part of a team and helping my team mates do their best.
I am interested in health and science. I also have a love for animals, and I am taking veterinary tech classes this year. We just ran the Desert Twilight Invitational and I set a personal record or 19:56. I am hoping to make it to state this year. Sectionals are in a few weeks.
