Personal Statement
My collegiate goals are to earn a degree in statistics so that I can ultimately have a career which implements statistical data. I want to continue running at the college level because of my genuine love for distance running and my desire to continue to grow personally in this sport.
I am a self-motivated athlete. I train hard and understand the importance of nutrition, dedication, cross training, and the need to be coachable. Above all I understand the commitment this will require and I am personally driven to achieve the highest accomplishments as an athlete and a student.
In high school I have developed excellent time management skills to pursue academics, sports, and outside interests. I am confident in my ability to balance a busy schedule. Ethically I am a strong and compassionate person, who is mature beyond most of my peers. I have found that these traits separate me from other recruits.
I am interested in a college that will challenge me academically and provide me with excellent opportunities. I hope to find coaches and trainers from which to learn so I can perform my personal best as a runner and a leader.
