Personal Statement
Hi, My name is Gianna Cassinerio! I am going to be a senior at Clovis North high school. For the last eight years of my life I have devoted all of my time and effort into my track and field career. With all the work I have put in I hope to further my athletic career in track and field at a college level. I have been training with not only my school team, but also with a private coach and competing at national levels every summer. I have competed in over 30 national meets and have traveled all over the country to compete with different types of competition. My goal is to sign with college that will offer me everything I need in order to succeed in my future. I aspire to one day be a sports psychologist at a mojor university where I will be given the chance to help other athletes overcome obsticals in their athletic careers and help them to become successful. I am a very strong leader and have a very outgoing personality and believe that I could be a key member of any college team. What makes me different from other athletes is that I see the best in every situation, and use every opportunity I am given as a learning experience. Also my positive attitude and level of respect that I have for everyone is something I am always recognized for. I believe as an athlete that no matter who you are every member involved in my event should be given the same respect. With that being said all officials should be told thank you followed by a hand shake, all of my fellow competitors should be told good luck and good job no matter what the outcome is, and the outcome of everything that has happened should be used as a learning experience and as a blessing. As an athlete I believe that I have more experience than others due to the oppertunities I have been given. Being trained by a college level coach for four years and competing at national levels have helped me prepare for the next level of competition in college. As a student athlete I have learned how to balance my time between sports and school and have made it a permanate goal that I must maintain a 3.3 GPA or higher and challenge myself to take higher level classes. I believe as both an athlete and a student that I have so much to offer to a school, and cannot wait to see where I will end up in a year!
