Personal Statement

My name is Haley Torsney.  

I am a Senoir at St. Francis High School in Mountain View California.  I am interested in running Track and Field in College.  I am looking for a school that has great academics while offering the chance to compete against some of the best athletes in the nation.

I have only been running track for the last two years, but I really enjoy the competition and experience. I feel I still have room for significant improvement.  

My top times in my sophomore year:

800M:  2:21.81

400M: 59.60

4X400M: 4:03.05

My top Cross Country times are:

WCAL II Golden Gate Park 3.0 Miles 19.31.0

California State Championship 5K 19.58.6                                                                          

 I am also a very good student (4.0+) GPA, I will be taking both the ACT and SAT later this year.  I am looking forward to researching and selecting a school over the next several months so I can fulfill my goals academically and athletically
