As someone who is passionate about both academics and running, being a collegiate athlete is and has been my long term goal. Unlike most who focus on either school or sports exclusively, I am very versatile and well-accustomed to balancing my time to achieve success in both. In school, I am a partial IB student with 4 IB courses maintaining As in all. Next year, I am very excited to be taking IB Psychology, and obtaining my seal of biliteracy for the spanish language. I am in the top 10 % of my class with a 4.54 weighted GPA. On the cross-country team, I am considered a leader. I was the first ever junior captain of the cross country team in the school's history because of my dedication, hard-work, and natural leadership. I was re-elected again for the 2015 team for my senior year, and for the track season as well. I have been to the state meet in 2012, 2013, and 2014, hoping to make my fourth trip in 2015. In track, I am a sprinter and run the 400 meters 200 meters and both relays making it to CCS in 3 events in 2013, and 4 events in 2014. Next year Ihope to run the 800 meters as well. I constantly seek out clinics and camps to improve my techinique because I am eager to recieve critisicm to be the best I can be. I am extremely coachable and very respectful to all who coach me. I have a large sports background because I have been an athlete for all of my life. I was a dancer for 12 years all while playing both club and varsity soccer, running cross country, and competing in track and field. Therefore, I understand committment, how to be a teamate, and work ethic. I hope that I can be a great fit into your team!
