Personal Statement
My name is Brenna Barker. I am a long, triple, and high jumper who will graduate in 2013. In my sophomore year of track and field, I broke the triple jump school record. I was national champion in the triple jump and placed third in the long jump at the USATF Nationals in Myrtle Beach. I have a 3.9 GPA, and I am taking AP and honors classes at my high school. I am a member of Associated Student Union (Student Gov.) and hold the position of Commisioner of Student-Teacher Relations. I am also a student ambassador for People to People, and I traveled to South Africa and helped people in need.
Ideally, I would prefer a college with a large campus that is located either on the east or west side of the United States (although, I am open to other options). My primary goal is to obtain an outstanding education, and to compete at a high level of track and field. I would be a positive addition to any school due to my competitive spirit and the positive support I lend to my teammates. Thank you!
