Personal Statement
I am an attentive and focused athlete. My main focus is track, my education, family and being a student athlete. I hope to use my athletic skills in track and field to further my education and compete at the collegiate level. In the classroom and on the track I believe I am a natural born leader, responsible for my performance and actions, and I have no doubt that whatever I put my mind to, I can accomplish.
My academic goals in college are to receive a bachelor's degree or even a masters degree in Sports Psychology. I want to become a professional sports psychologist. Potentially, ravel with sports organizations making sure the athletes remain healthy mentally, and provide them with preventive and therapeutic services. Being a student athlete in college is going to be a challenge, but I am prepared for whatever comes my way.
My athletic goals for the 2018 season are to run a 12.30 in the 100 meters, 25.60 in the 200 meters and become more well-rounded in the sport. I plan to run at the Stanford invitational, Arcadia, qualify for the CIF California Track and Field Championships and compete in more indoor meets. I believe that if I stay focused and driven, I will be able to fulfill my aspirations and goals.
