One of my goals while competing on a collegiate team is to become the best version of my athletic self by continuing to improve my times while competing on an elite level. I have experience as a leader, as a two year team captain for High School cross country and track teams.
In the Summer of my 2023 high school year, I competed with Oakland PAL run club that included qualifying for the Junior Olympics at historic Hayward Field at the University of Oregon. It resulted in becoming an All American Athlete. Our 4x400m women's team took home a 6th place medal out of 27 national teams and I had a personal best of 59.18 secs on my leg of the relay (full team ran 3:55 secs). I have been competing in track since kindergarten, and ran for Catholic Youth Organization (CYO). From fifth grade through high school I also ran cross country and my mother has been the assistant coach and an inspiration throughout my high school running career.
Prioritizing my academics has always been another goal and running allows me to keep a clear head space necessary for balancing and focusing on my studies.
I am very open minded and enjoy experimenting with different athletic training and coaching styles.
