Kim Sanchez '12 Recruiting Profile

I am about 5'8" and around 135 pounds. I have been pole vaulting for three years now at Oaks Christian High School and I joined a club team, Lucky Strike, during the summer before my junior year. My club coach, Brooks Morris, is recognized as the club coach of the year and coached the Junior national champion. I always get to the field as soon as I am done with classes to get in some extra, individual work that I feel the need to focus on before practice. I keep practicing until my coach tells me to stop and I always ask for one more jump. I want to vault in college and after college in the Olympics. I do not care where a college is located as long as it has what I am looking for academically and athletically. I am open to any type of college. I feel that I will be able to adapt to the size of the school whether it be big or small. I would like to go to a college that challenges me academically and athletically. I am looking for scholarships and financial aid as i have three other siblings and money is tight. In college, I would like to study athletic training. I would like to play at the right athletic level for me. I am not sure what that is, but I know that I want to be challenged but not get in over my head. I know that I want to play all four years of my college career.
