My name is Lianna Ubungen, & I am a senior at Discovery Canyon High school located in Colorado Springs. I first started running cross country and track at the age of 10 in Texas, and have loved it ever since. I have a strong passion for the art of running, especially for the many challenges it brings with it. I am a member of both the varsity cross country and track and field team, and even though I run both distance and sprints; sprinting has always been my passion.
I love running track, because of the thrill and camaraderie it brings with it. I enjoy pushing myself to accomplish goals I aspire to achieve, as well as being a member of a family like team. I have learned that sacrifice, persistence, passion, & drive are all the combinations needed to maintain a high-level of success. I have used this learning experience on the track, to fuel my mindset both athletically & academically, as well as throughout my life.
