My namer is Adele Chism, and I am a hard working student that currently attends South High School. Last fall I ran cross country, and was the only freshman to make the girl's varsity team. I worked hard in practice and improved immensely over the season by dropping about 1:30 seconds off my 5k time. (Next season my goal is to run under a 21:00 5k). This spring I am looking forward to running track for the very first time, and hopefully taking the 4x8 team to state. Running distance is a challenging, tiring sport, and sometimes it would be easier to stop then to keep going. I, however, have the personality to preserver and to push through the pain because I believe it will make me a better runner in the long run.
In four years from now I hope to be running cross country and track at the collegiate level. Although I'm only a freshman I already know what I want to do after of college (become a large animal veterinarian). I have a personality where once I set my mind to something I wont stop until I reach it. That is why over the past summer I volunteered at a local vet clinic to gain experience, I've watched all of the Dr. Poll episodes (my remodel), and recently been asked by a neighbor to administer her cat subcutaneous fluids.
