I hope to be a collegiate athlete because over the past few years running became my escape from the stress of family issues, and eventually it grew to be my passion. As I joined teams and competed at a high school level my love for running grew and now I have been working each day to be able to pursue running after high school so I can continue to work hard and compete with a team. My passion for running and belonging on a team to be able to learn from my other teammates and help them as well is part of what drives me to want to run at a collegiate level. Also I feel that running helps me release so much stress that it helps me academically. My love for the sport really has helped me grow into the person I am and I am willing to work as hard as I have to to be able to run in college.
