Personal Statement
I am a positive, highly motivated, hard working and dedicated student and athlete. I am passionate about my running and my academics. I feel that I work as hard as an athlete as I do at my academics. I strive to accomplish the same focus and mental toughness in the classroom as I do out on the trails and track! I have lettered in academics freshman and sophmore year. I have also received varsity letters freshman, sophmore and Junior years in XC and freshman year in track (but not sophmore year due to recovering from injuries and I did not run track). During the rest of my High School years of running and academics the goals I have set for myself include maintaining and exceeding my GPA in the classroom. As well as scoring well on my SAT and or ACT. I will remain a member of the Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. As an athlete I continually strive to improve my times in all events, to be a leader on and off the "field", to encourage my teammates, to be mentally tough and focused. I want to continue to grow mind, body and spirit. In my senior year of running I will be working on getting a sub 19 and make it to states once again with my whole team. Since my freshman year of running XC I have had the goal of getting an athletic scholarship and maintaining my 3.89 GPA or higher. After I graduate I would be honored to run for a College Cross Country team, while working on my dream major, AthleticTraining/Nutrition/Biology. I have faith that God has a plan for my life and that cross country and college are a part of that. Wherever that takes me I will do my very best to reach the goals and challenges I have set for myself with a positive attitude and a spirit of perseverance!
