Cassie Beato '12 Recruiting Profile

My last track season I was asked by my coach to train and run new events. This enabled me to train for my usual events. I was asked a couple times throughout the season to run my old events, but due to the fact that I hadn't trained for them, my times were slow. During my senior year of cross country, I got hurt at a race and re-injured my knee. Due to the fact that I got hurt, my times became slower and I was not able to run region. However, I have re-strengthened my knee and I've been running local 5Ks which I have placed in. In the Girls on the Run 5K I placed first for the over all women. In the Jungle Jog 5K I placed first in my age group, 4th women over all, and 32nd out of 458 runners. I look foward to my senior year track season and I will be continuing to run local 5Ks.
