Personal Statement
Current-
I have now finished my Senior year of cross country finishing 2nd in one race and winning each of the others. I also was able to win the Illinois State Championship. Two seconds of the state record. I then won the Nike regional meet in Terre Haute, IN and went on the pace 9th at the Nike National Meet in Portland Oregon. I have progressed as a distance runner this season with improving my form and efficiency.
I am finishing my Third year as a varsity member of Naperville Central High Schools cross country and track teams. We are division 3A in these sports and have been named All Academic All Conference for each year. I have made the state meet all 3 years of cross country as an individual qualifier and the state meet as a sophomore and junior for the 3200. I feel I am a very coachable and a competitive athlete.
I think I would prefere a medium sized school where I can be recognized by instructors and given attention if needed. A midwest school would be desirable but would consider others if the opportunity arises. I have not completely decided on my major but do feel I would like to study in the Health Sciences field.
