Throughout my high school career as a student athlete, I've learned much beyond the classroom. I aspire to become the best athlete I can be and to reach my fullest potential. I am a very dedicated and self-motivated athlete that understands the importance of academics. As Nelson Mandela said, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." In addition, becoming a captain on my high school team has also taught me the signficance a mentor can make to younger student athletes. Not only with sport and school related issues but also personal. I strive for greatness, not only for myself but for my teammates as well.
