As a child, I participated in club soccer since I was 6, organized basketball, club volleyball, several years of organized softball, and cross country for junior high as a 6th grader. Once I reached Junior High I chose to play volleyball for two years, basketball, and run/jump for track. It had finally hit me that sports were my life and I wanted to continue once I was out of High School.
As an athlete, I treat my sport as if it is my job. Thus meaning, I listen to what my coach has to say, apply it my performance, and I am intense the whole time I am at practice. My goal in every sport is to be a leader and set a prime example for the athletes below me. I am very coachable, take what I am given, and incorporate advice into the sport I am playing. No matter the task I am asked to take on, I do it to the best of my ability.
In school, I take challenging classes so I can reach a higher potential. I participate in various clubs and Student Council. One that means the most to me is Key Club, because I enjoy doing community service. While working hard in the classroom, I also have to work hard in my sports. I have to balance my schedule while being a three sport athlete.
I seek to find a college where I can compete at the highest level of competition and get a good college degree. I am up for a challenge and want to continue to develop stronger skills. I hope to set a good example for my peers and ultimately pursue athletics at the collegiate level.
