Everyday is a great day to be a student athlete. I have learned how to be a good and supportive teammate to others on my team. Track has taught me characteristics like determination and drive to succeed at things beyond the sport. My dad inspired me to become a pole vaulter because it built his character as an all around person and I hope to do the same and continue through college. I have recently learned that I don't give up until I have succeeded in my task for the day either in practice or in my schoolwork.
I have been a part of competitive sports since I was 5 years old. This type of atmosphere has helped me learn about commitment to a team and the responsibility of working hard. This drive will continue throughout my life assisting me in being successful.
I am confident that I would be a great addition to any schools' student athletic program.
