Growing up in a stable and loving home with a loving and supporting family was a big help in not giving up on myself. I became interested in track in the sixth grade, but I became truly passionate about it in the eighth grade. This sport came naturally to me and I learned very quickly. Throughout participating in track, I have learned that I enjoy the individual work. I love the team atmosphere, but I enjoy being able to compete as an individual. Academically, I plan to graduate from high school and carry on into college studying nursing. I plan to become a nurse practitioner.
