Brandi Gardner '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Brandi Gardner and I have been doing track since the 6th grade. I have always loved and played competitively in soccer and basketball but running is where my heart really is. During my freshman year of high school, our 4x100 went to WA state track finals and placed 2nd. This year as a Junior, I qualified as a Regional Champion for KHSAA in the Triple Jump, the 4X100 and 4X400 Relays as District Champions. My goal is to qualify and win these events next year and also, the Long Jump as well.  I aspire to obtaining my BS in nursing and becoming an ER nurse to help those in need. I am hard on myself in both my academics and athletics and this makes me my biggest critic. I always want to win no matter what, and when I don't win, I feel as though I have to work and train harder to obtain that goal. What makes me different from any other athlete is that I simply will not be outworked and I will push myself until I am confident that I put in 110%  each day in both practice and the events.  As a military child, adaptability, discipline, and humility have been some of the best things my parents have instilled in me. I am receptive to learning and growing from coaches and experienced staff that have my best interest in mind for maximum performance both on and off the field. My diverse childhood has taught me how to interact with people and be comfortable with being new but being even more eager to learn and excel.  My outgoing personality ensures that I always make everyone feel comfortable and even provide a smile. However, my sheer determination and grit, will ensure that our team is focused, dedicated, disciple and hungry to be the best at Anything and everything we do!
