Personal Statement
I realize that college will be a critical time in my life when my personal growth and morals will be further developed and challenged. My academic goal is to explore a science major that will prepare me for medical school in a strong veterinary program. As an athlete, I understand that I represent more than just myself; I represent my school, coaches, and teammates, as well.
I've enjoyed the benefits of experiencing sports as both a player and a coach. As my third year of coaching middle school volleyball comes to an end, I have had the opportunity to work with players possessing various levels of knowledge and abilities. With this in mind, I strive to demonstrate and explain each aspect of the game clearly and concisely so it's straightforward and easy for my girls to understand.
This perspective has given me a greater appreciation for my coaches, teammates, and abilities. A goal can only be accomplished when each person is fully committed to the process and to pushing each other to be the best that he or she can be. I will use the gifts that God has given me to assist my team and will return the glory to Him. I trust that whatever happens is part of His plan for me. "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength" (Philippians 4:13).
