My name is Samantha Carroll, and I truly feel that I am a diligent, determined student athlete and individual. I work hard, in season and off season, and I always give my all in practices. This past year, as a sophomore, I was able to break all of my school's distance records in Track and Field, in addition to the 1000M indoors. I have been a league First Team All Star the past two seasons, and this past year I placed fourth in states for the 1000M, allowing me to go to All States. I feel that I have so much more room to grow and develop as a runner, and my willingness to never quit as well as my opportunity to grow makes me a key prospect. That being said, college is first and foremost about the academics, and I feel I do not disappoint in that aspect either. I am a high honors student with a strong work ethic and am also the Vice President of my student council. Within my council, we do monthly service projects, such as volunteering at homeless shelters or hosting clothing drives and walks for Alzheimer's. Giving back to the community is very important to me, and having a strong leadership role gives me the tools to give back in many different ways, as well as provides me with other skills such as communication and teamwork. Overall, I believe that my experiences, abilities, and dedication make me a good fit for any college.
