Personal Statement

I am currently a Junior at Northfield Mount Hermon Prep School and have been running cross country for three years and track for one. As an eighth grader I broke 4 local high school course records as well as a 22 year old NMH school 3000m record with a time of 10:36 during my 2013 outdoor season. I have worked hard these past three years and plan to continue working even harder for the second half of high school.I plan to attend a liberal arts college where I can explore a variety of subjects while continuing to run. I enjoy the individualized nature of competition where I can push myself as hard as I want to achieve personal goals. I love being part of a team where athletes motivate and encourage each other to be better than their best. I look forward to leading my team by example again this spring by being a captain.
