Personal Statement

With any challenge thrown at me, I am always ready to tackle it with positivity and determination, in track especially. Having only raced for 2 years, I know there's a lot of room for improvement in building my speed, endurance, and my race strategy. Improvement is something I strive for but in order to do this I create goals that can only be achieved through a process. If in the next couple of seasons I can approach my races with a thought out game plan and goal, I know that fast times will result. Every practice and race is a part of the process in working towards my end goal of breaking 5 minutes in the mile and getting 2:15 or below in the 800. Outside of track I am always setting daily goals for myself whether it's acedmically or personally. One academic goal of mine is to maintain my 4.41 GPA and if possible strive for a 4.5. In the classroom, and on the track I put a lot of thought and effort into what I'm trying to achieve. Personally, I am always trying to be the best teammate and friend I can be, whether that is giving encouragement or helping someone else achieve their goals. I am looking forward to becoming a stronger, faster, and better all around great track scholar athlete in the coming years of high school. It would be a pleasure to take my positive attitude and work ethic to your school. I hope to continue to grow in a challenging academic and athletic environment after high school.
