Personal Statement

I hope to become an amazing student athlete. As a freshman, I didn't do as well as I had hoped but everyday is a learning experience.  I have begun vigorous training in hopes to be the best. Last year my sophomore year I broke my schools record 3 times, became Western Maine Class C Champion, place 4th in Class C States which gave me and overall placing of 8th in the state of Maine. I have good leadership qualities and I'm easy to talk to. I'd like to think, I give good advice and help others. I'm dedicated in whatever I do. I work at a local restaurant, play basketball, cheering and track as well as participating or in the past things like  band, sophomore committee, student council, JCL (Junior classical league) and take advanced placement courses.

Sixth grade was the first year track was offered at my school. I starting playing and the first events I tried we're Discus, Shot Put and Long Jump. I fell in love with Shot Put with every ounce of my body. I pushed myself and pushed myself till I was the best at the middle school level. I loved track more than anything in the world and I still fell the same way about it.

I'm an extremely dedicated person. I put 150 percent into everything that I do. I love my family, I love my work, I love my friends and I love my sports. I hope to double major in Pre-Law and Marine Biology I'm college and have been stuck on those major ever since I can remember. I like pushing myself to be the best I can be in every aspect of my life.

Winning Division 2 Conference championship this year has pushed me more and more. After hitting 34 feet in practice I know what I can do and feel the need to go above and beyond. States will be my last high school meet of 2015 and I got 33 feet 5 inches like I said placing me 4th. My goal for this year is to hit 40 and then 45 by senior year.
