Personal Statement
My name is Heather Beecher and I'm a vaulter and hurtler from gladwin, MI. I've been vaulting since the 7th grade and hold the junior high, Huskies Relays, and the Gaylord Meet of Champs pole vault records. I placed 8th at states in the vault sophomore year and took a 10th at states freshmen year in the 4x1. Off season, I run Cross, attend track winter workouts, and lifeguard at a local christian camp (Good News) during the summer. My intentions of majoring in Physical Therapy completely stem from my 100% love and dedication towards Track and Feild and past sports I've competed in, so I am fully committed to doing whatever it takes to take it to the next level and work my hardest for my team.
This past season, Junior year for me, I was out five meets in out of thirteen due to a serious leg injury aquired while hurtling and still managed to be the fourth largest scorer on our team. Though it was quite the set back, I know I will make a serious comeback in the oncoming season and make it back to the top. The outlook of my future endeavors are in top shape and I'm ready to go!
